DENVER COUNTY
FEBRUARY 15, 2025
The Democratic Party of Denver is a volunteer-led organization and relies on everyday Democrats just like you to lead the party. Every odd-numbered year in Colorado, Precinct Organizers, and other Party leaders meet to elect the district, county, and state Party leaders. These meetings are known as the Reorganization (or Reorg) meetings.
Any registered or pre-registered Democrat living in the City and County of Denver may run for party leadership positions.

- I'm Tyler Mangin, and I am seeking election as Captain for House District 5A, a position which I have served in for the last term. Over the past two years, I have worked to increase engagement, fundraising, and outreach. We have extended our Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts, launched social media outreach, held forums for candidates and ballot initiatives, and boosted attendance at monthly meetings. If re-elected, I plan to build on our achievements by: Growing fundraising efforts, including expanding our successful Dash for Democracy 5K Fun Run. Hosting four issue-focused forums in the first year to foster deeper political discussions. Providing financial support to local Democratic Candidates and to the County Party. Developing programs to mentor and empower the next generation of Denver Democratic leaders. I am committed to strengthening the Central Denver Democrats of House District 5, and I hope I can earn your vote!

- Born and raised in Colorado, I stayed in Denver for college after receiving a full-ride Boettcher Scholarship to attend the University of Denver and earn both undergraduate and master’s degrees in public policy. My career has taken me from Washington, D.C., where I worked on economic policy at the Brookings Institution, to Education Commission of the States, where I helped improve education policy across the country. For the past five years, I’ve worked for the University of Colorado System, helping to ensure higher education remains affordable and accessible for all. I am currently finishing my third term as Captain in House District 2A. Before that, I worked as a precinct organizer in HD2. Outside of Denver Dems, I can be found singing Broadway showtunes at my partner Shelby (badly), trying to convince my puppy to leave the dog park (unsuccessfully), and teaching my nieces how to be feminists (important).

Important Notes
Bonus Members
In past reorgs, bonus members to the multi-county district central committees were held. Starting in 2025, multi-county house and senate districts will not elect bonus members. The precinct organizers of the multi-county district are members of the multi-county central committee. The multi-county districts will hold reorgs in March to elect their officers.
Precinct Organizers (POs)
Precinct Organizers (PO) are not elected at Reorg. PO’s were elected at the 2024 Precinct Caucuses and will serve until the 2026 Precinct Caucuses. If you are interested in filling a PO vacancy, please contact your district captain or email info@denverdemocrats.org.
