State House

Currently, in Colorado, the Democratic party controls the Colorado House of Representatives, holding about 70% of its 65 seats. This is good news for our citizens, who appreciate Colorado’s strong economy, support for reproductive rights, and willingness to consider common-sense gun legislation. If we hope to keep it this way, your vote remains crucial. Some facts:

  • Members of the Colorado House are elected to two-year terms and limited to serving eight consecutive years

  • The entire House is elected in each general election

  • Less than a decade ago, Republicans held a chamber in the Legislature and a majority of the U.S. House delegation

The next Colorado House of Representatives election is on November 5, 2024. Learn more here.
