Democrats now benefit from a state trifecta (majorities in both chambers of the state legislature and the governor’s office.) We’ve also won a state government triplex (governor, attorney general and secretary of state.) These gains have helped us ensure reproductive rights in Colorado and put common sense gun-control measures on the agenda. But our current advantage isn’t a given. Important to know:​

• Less than a decade ago, Republicans held a chamber in the Legislature and a majority of the U.S. House delegation.

• Democrats only gained a majority in 2018

• The people of Colorado choose the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Treasurer, State Board of Education and University of Colorado Board of Regents
