Congratulations to Mayor-elect Mike Johnston!
Plus, results are in for City Council Districts 8, 9 and 10.
It was a good night for Denver Democrats, who fielded both the runoff candidates in the mayoral election. We’re excited to hear much more in the near future from Mayor Johnston, and look forward to what comes next for our city.
The three remaining City Council run-off seats are decided.
District 8 gives the win to Shontel Lewis.
In District 9, the open Council seat goes to challenger Darrell Watson.
District 10 sends incumbent Chris Hinds back to City Council.
And a final word for anyone puzzled about the District 7 race, which appeared on ballots: Nick Campion dropped out before the election, leaving the seat uncontested. That open seat went to Flor Alvidrez.
