Dear Denver Democrats:
Recently, the Democratic Party of Denver was notified of a fraudulent email that was sent in the name of the County Party to our supporters. The email claims impropriety with regard to finances, incorrectly alludes to the County Party preferring one candidate over another and disparages the character of the reader and both of the party's presidential candidates.
The County Party is taking the fraudulent nature of this email very seriously and have alerted the proper authorities.
The email is from a fictional "Jennifer Smith" at Denver.democrats@gmail.com. We are asking that any individuals who received such an email to please notify us at info@denverdems.org.
As Chair of the County Party, I have worked hard to uphold the integrity of our party. I assure you that this matter will be properly addressed.
Sincerely,
Jennifer S. Coken
