What is Assembly?
The Denver County assembly is convened to designate candidates for the primary election ballot for races for districts fully contained within Denver County.
In addition, at the Denver County Assembly, delegates are elected to the multi-county state house and senate district assemblies, the congressional district assemblies, and the State Assembly & Convention.
The purpose of the State Assembly & Convention is to nominate candidates for statewide offices to the primary election ballot.

The Democratic Party of Denver does NOT run these Assemblies. The Colorado Democratic Party does.

The State of Colorado has been awarded 47 delegates at the Democratic National Convention, which will take place August 19-22, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois.
